HO Brass - PSC 16536-1 B&O Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-2 Q-4 #4409 - Vanderbilt Tender F/P Mint

The B&O Class Q-4 "Mikado" locomotives, built by Baldwin from 1920 to 1923, were among the most powerful 2-8-2s on the railroad, with 64-inch drivers, 25.75x32-inch cylinders, and a 220 psi boiler pressure. This class of 135 locomotives, numbered 4400–4499 and later expanded to subclasses, produced an impressive 63,206 pounds of tractive effort. Designed for both freight and passenger service, they featured advanced firebox designs and were equipped with steam heat for troop trains during World War II. Renowned for their reliability and versatility, the Q-4s remained in service until the late 1950s, marking the pinnacle of B&O’s Mikado evolution

Most Orders Ship Within 48 Hours

We care about how we pack and ship your item to you. That is why all orders don't ship until they meet our rigorous standards.

We reserve the right to charge shipping or insurance on Sets, O scale Items, and other items that we have added a shipping note to. Should you have questions please call or email us.

Should shipping times be extended, we will update this section or our Facebook page.

    PAYMENT/RETURNS

At BrassBasement.com, customer satisfaction is our top priority. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 14-day return policy for a full refund, minus the shipping costs.

To initiate a return, contact us via email or phone with your order number and the reason for return. Please ensure that the item(s) are returned in their original, unused condition and packaging. We reserve the right to decline refunds if the return policy conditions are not met.

    Return Process:

    1. Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
    2. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a shipping method with tracking and insurance.

Shipping Policy: Please note that we will not ship items directly to model train service workers (e.g., for paint, repair, or any modifications). All models must be shipped directly to the buyer. This ensures that any issues with shipping or the model are resolved solely between the customer and Adam's Brass Basement LLC. We do not engage with third-party repair technicians regarding shipment issues.
