HO Brass - Westside Sierra Railroad Short Coach and Combine set - Mint

Add interest to your layout with these short passenger cars! Used on the Sierra Railroad, these cars eventually made their way into preservation. The combine was even used as a caboose at one time!

Originally constructed in 1902 for the Sierra Railway Company of California, this Combination-Baggage car, designated as No. 5, was utilized for passenger service on the Angels Camp branch line until 1935. It was then converted into a caboose and used on freight trains until its retirement in 1955. However, its career didn't end there - it was purchased for movie work and continued to make appearances on the big screen. Similarly, in 1902, Sierra Railway also built a Coach, numbered 6, for passenger service on the Angels Camp branch line. After being sold to the Hetch Hetchy Railroad in the early 1930s, it was eventually acquired by the Pacific Coast Chapter of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society in 1949 and stored at Jamestown. Following its relocation to Sacramento for the opening of the California State Railroad Museum in 1981, it returned to Railtown in 1989.
